Nonie Ward

Nonie Ragle Ward, 90, passed away Sunday, December 6th at her home surrounded by family. She was born September 3, 1925 in Danville, VA to the late John Turner and Annie Frances Milam Ragle. She was married to the late Charlie Weaver Ward, Sr. who passed away in 1978. Nonie retired from Burlington Industries (Reidsville Plant) and was a member of Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Nellie (Mike) Brock of Tampa, FL; sisters Betty Ashby of Burlington; brothers, Marvin (Doris) Ragle and John (Shirley) Ragle both of Burlington; special friends, Jeanette and Marvin Dalton. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son Charlie W. Ward, Jr.; sisters, Beatrice Hill, Murrell Walker, Catherine Aldridge, Barbara Reynolds and special friend Arnold Ward. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Norman Harris. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
