Nola Guinn

Nola Waller Bennett Guinn, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at ARMC. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Bobby Allen Guinn and the late Edward Golden Bennett, Sr. Nola retired from Staley Hosiery Mill and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Haithcock and husband, Johnny of Burlington, Debbie Grubb and husband, Larry of Graham and Bonnie Rose and husband, Randy of Mebane; son, Eddie G. Bennett, Jr. and wife, Phyllis of Snow Camp; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Griffin of Cedar Hill, Texas and Christine Parton of Hurst, Texas; sister-in-law, Helen Waller of Burlington and her special companion, Norwood Watkins of Leland, NC. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; son, Gordy Bennett, parents, Ballard Cicle and Bettie May Huddleston Waller; four brothers and four sisters. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Mike Miller. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 pm prior to the graveside on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her daughter, Bonnie Rose.
