Nobie Ann Rogers Dickerson, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Hospice Home. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late William Richard "Dick" and Julia Ann Lunsford Rogers and was the wife of 69 years to Gerald Ray Dickerson of the home. Nobie was a member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church for over 60 years where she served as a Sunday School teacher in the Heaven Bound Sunday School Class as well as serving in many other capacities. She is survived by her husband of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Cary Fritter of Raleigh; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald "Merritt" and Bobbie Dickerson of Mebane; grandchildren, Rob Dickerson and wife, Karen, Matthew Fritter and wife, Katherine, Jonathan Fritter and wife, Kristi; great grandchildren, Sophia Dickerson, Abby Fritter, Anna Fritter, Ollie Fritter; sisters, Eunice Edwards of Plainville, GA and Ada "Lee" Griffin of Burlington; brother, Bishop William R. "Bill" Rogers of Fulton, MO; a special niece, Cheri Jo Carver and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Don Pegg with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 1106 E. Morehead Street, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
