Nina Ward

Nina Margaret Tickle Ward passed away Wednesday October 15, 2008 at Burlington Manor. She was the wife of the late Clinton Edward Ward who died in 1990 and the daughter of the late Eddie Lee "Pete" and Mamie Smith Tickle. Nina was a native of Alamance County, of the Baptist faith and retired from Copland Fabrics. She is survived by a sister-in-law Geraldine Tickle of Melbourne, FL, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter Dorothy Elaine Ward, sisters;Dorothy Moize, Una Mae Beckom, Lutisha Tickle, brothers; Clarence Tickle, Paul Tickle, Norman Tickle and Clay Tickle. There will be a graveside service 2:00 PM Monday October 20, 2008 at Pine Hill cemetery. In accordance with Nina's wishes there will be no visitation. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice staff and Burlington Manor for the special compassionate care she received and the loving support shown to the family.
