Nina Kepley

Mrs. Nina Faye Riddle Kepley, age 95, of Burlington, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at her residence after a brief illness.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Carvie Riddle and the late Lila Hunter Riddle and was married for over 55 years to Henry Mack Kepley, who passed in 1999.  She worked briefly at Western Electric before becoming a career homemaker.  She was a longtime member of First Wesleyan Church of Burlington, where she sang the choir and in several trios over the years.  She enjoyed making ceramics and her homemade butter mints and was an avid UNC fan.  She was the best mother and grandmother ever.

Mrs. Kepley is survived by her three children, Donna Gayle Kepley of Burlington, Barbara Lee Kepley of Graham and Tammy Reid of Graham, and Susan Kepley Pegg and husband, Keith, of Burlington; five grandchildren, Kim Gray, David M. Kepley, Jr., Kristyn Orozco, Kyle Pegg and Kaitlyn Shields; and five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son David Mack Kepley, Sr.; a sister, Lafoy Dollar; and three brothers, Garland Riddle, Willard Riddle and Leroy Riddle.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 Sunday, February 23, 2020 at First Wesleyan Church of Burlington by Rev. Dennis Boone and Rev. Ronnie Jones.  Interment will follow at Graham Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 Pm Sunday prior to the service at the church.
