Nickie Gottschlich

Nickie Lee Coatney Gottschlich, 67, passed away March 20, 2016 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. She was born June 26, 1948 in Dayton, OH and was the daughter of Thomas Eugene and Phyllis Jean Karadak Coatney. Nickie was a retired legal secretary and was active in WeeEagles Athletics and other community organizations in Ohio. She enjoyed horseback riding and dancing, but her true joy came in spending time with her family. Her grandchildren fondly referred to her as Lala. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer G. Moyer of Whitsett and her children Brandon, Nicholas and Collin; a son, Eric J. Gottschlich of Fort Wayne, IN and his children, Macy and Mitchell; former husband, Jim Gottschlich of Elon and brothers, Joe and Patrick Coatney. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00pm, March 24, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Doug Durham with the burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm - 2:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the daughters home.
