Nicholas Carnes

Nicholas Cintonio "Nick" Carnes, 32, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017. He was born on November 24, 1984 in Alamance County to Rhonda Denise Carnes McAdoo who survives and was the husband to Heather Straughn Carnes of 6 years who survives.

Nick was a salesman with Edwards Automotive Products in Haw River. He enjoyed working in the yard, computers and wood working. Nick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling and going on vacations.

Survivors other than his wife, Heather Carnes and his mother, Rhonda McAdoo, include his daughters whom he adored, Hadley Mae Carnes and Kylee Sue Carnes; step father, Larry "Bug" McAdoo, Jr.; sister, Misty Carnes; maternal grandparents, Thelma Ward Rich and Hans "Big Daddy" Rich; father-in-law, Lawrence Straughn and his wife, Becky Peterson Straughn; mother-in-law, Tammy Wall Ellison; brother-in-law, Jonathon Straughn; aunts, Michelle Fletcher and Amanda Straughn; uncles, Roger Carnes, Tony Straughn and Michael Straughn; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Carnes; an aunt, Rachel Carnes and a cousin, Jacob Straughn.

The celebration of life service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darryl Peebles. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Truliant Federal Credit Union, c/o Hadley and Kylee Carnes.
