Newell Coble

Newell Vance Coble, age 84, of Alamance Church Rd, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 4, 2012. A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Olga Godesky Coble and the son of the late Charlie and Winnie Humble Coble. Mr. Coble was a retired house mover and owned Tranquil Trails Mobile Home Park. He had a unique talent of rebuilding and restoring heavy equipment. Survivors include his wife Olga Godesky Coble of the home; sons, Terry Coble and wife Betty, Richard Coble and wife Lorraine; daughters, Geraldine Coble Layton, Kathy Coble Greeson and husband Dean. Stepchildren Douglas Godesky and wife Gina, Dwight Godesky and wife Teresa, Olga Dara Godesky Lamberson and husband Bill, Andrew Godesky and wife Sandra; 7 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Kimesville Road Baptist Church by Pastor Tim McCann. Interment will follow in Gilmore Memorial Park. Mr. Coble will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Saturday. The family would like to thank the staff at Clapp's Nursing Center for all the loving care given Newell and a special thanks to Mary Beth Turner, Amber Immel, Roxanne Stallman, Cindy Johnson and Nancy Minter.
