Nery Vivar Torres

Nery Vivar Torres, 2 years old, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at UNC Hospital.  He was born on December 2, 2019 in Orange County to Rigoberto Vivar Alvarez and Rosaura Fabiola Torres-Lopez.

Nery’s time on this earth was short, but his loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever.  He was such a strong loving boy who had the best sense of humor and enjoyed playing with his sister.

Nery is survived by his mother, Rosaura Fabiola Torres-Lopez; father, Rigoberto Vivar Alvarez; a sister, Aileen Vivar Torres; maternal grandparents, Crescencio Torres Reyes and Cornelia Lopez Pimentel; paternal grandparents, Adolfo Vivar Morales and Marina Lucia Alvarez; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral mass will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Vincent Rubino, OFM Conv. with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.

Nery Vivar Torres, de 2 años, falleció pacíficamente el martes 8 de febrero de 2022 en el Hospital UNC.  Nació el 2 de diciembre de 2019 en el Condado de Orange, hijo de Rigoberto Vivar Álvarez y Rosaura Fabiola Torres-López.

El tiempo de Nery en esta tierra fue corto, pero su espíritu amoroso vivirá en nuestros corazones para siempre.  Era un chico tan fuerte y amoroso que tenía el mejor sentido del humor y disfrutaba jugando con su hermana.

A Nery le sobreviven su madre, Rosaura Fabiola Torres-López; padre, Rigoberto Vivar Alvarez; una hermana, Aileen Vivar Torres; abuelos maternos, Crescencio Torres Reyes y Cornelia López Pimentel; abuelos paternos, Adolfo Vivar Morales y Marina Lucía Álvarez; y numerosas tías, tíos y primos.

La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 a.m. del miércoles 16 de febrero de 2022 en la Iglesia Católica del Santísimo Sacramento por el reverendo Vincent Rubino, OFM Conv. con el entierro a continuación en Alamance Memorial Park.  La familia recibirá a sus amigos de 4 p.m. a 6 p.m. el martes en Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory y otros horarios en la casa.
