Nell Reavis

Elon- Nell Brandon Reavis, 95, formerly of Asheboro, NC, died on December 25,
2016 at the Hospice Home of Alamance County. She was a retired teacher with 31
years of experience. Many will remember Nell for her creative spirit, expressed
through her handiwork and various styles of crafts. She was a member of
Asheboro First Baptist Church for many years and most recently a member of
Grove Park Baptist Church in Burlington.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Sallie Bet Brandon of
Yadkinville, her husband, J. Alan Reavis of Asheboro, a son, Charles Alan (Chuck)
Reavis, and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Steve (Candy) Reavis of Elon,
grandchildren, John (Christy) Reavis, Scott (Melanie) Reavis, Rebecca (Chris) Knox,
and Sarah Reavis, and by one sister, Ella Mae (Charles) Dobbins of Georgia. In
addition, she has nine great-grandchildren: Kaden, Jonathon, Alan, William, Ellie,
Brandon, Logan, Adalyn and Carter.
Visitation will be held at the Lowe Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 27
from 5:00 to7:00 pm. Otherwise, the family will be at the home of Steve and
Candy Reavis in Elon. The graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 on
December 28 at the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery located at 2132 Brandon Hills Road, Yadkinville, NC, with Dr.Gene Hunsinger officiating.
