Nell Hunter

Mrs. Nell Edge Hunter, 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after 5 years of failing health. She was born in Yancey County, NC to the late John Mills Edge and the late Elsie Hall Edge and was married to the late LeRoy Hunter who passed away in 1999. Survivors include sons, Jeff Hunter of the home and Joel Hunter of Raleigh; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Danny Ward of Mebane; grandchildren, Angela Hunter, Alex Hunter, Sara Hunter, Max Hunter, Corbin Hunter, Savannah Ward and Tyler Ward; great grandchildren, David M. Crabtree and Natalie P. Crabtree; sister, Madge Davenport of Spruce Pine, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, September, 22, 2012 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Walter Jones, burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:45pm Saturday prior to the service and at other times the family will be at the daughters home.
