Nell Foust

Elon, NC Nell Benson Foust, age 94, a resident of Blakey Hall for over 3 years and formerly of W. Davis Street went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Albermarle and the daughter of the late Hiram King and Tizra Ann Rickert Benson. Nell retired from Holt Hosiery Mills as an office manager. She was a graduate of the Class of 1928 from Burlington High School where she was Valedictorian of her class. Nell was also a graduate of Womens College in Greensboro and a member of Front Street United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Fannie Larkin Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. Nell is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wilson Foust, parents, sister, Lucy Benson and her brothers, Carl R. and Charles K. Benson. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Alamance Memorial Park by Dr. Sidney Huggins, III officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to the donors favorite charity.
