Neal Banks Totten, 77, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Twin Lakes Center. He was born September 20, 1937 in Caswell County to the late William A. and Esther Ann Massey Totten and he was married to Lorine Fitch Totten. Banks had retired from Western Electric/A.T.&T after many years of service. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and reading. Survivors include his wife of Elon; daughters, Laverne Jeffrey Vance of Greensboro, Susan Totten Dr. Mark Feinglos of Durham; a son Alton Lynn Totten of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Dr. Stephen Vance, Megan Totten; step grandchildren, Jonathan Courtney Drinkard, Kristin Drinkard, Daniel Feinglos and Rebecca Sean Planchard; three great grandchildren and a brother Denny Sarah Totten of Reidsville. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Debra Elaine Totten; grandson David Jeffrey Vance; sisters, Ruth T. Nelson, Cleo T. Fulcher; brothers, William "Bill" Totten, Johnny Totten and Earl Totten. The funeral will be held 1:00 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain David Fox and Mr. John Crews. Interment will follow in the Bethel Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
