Naomi Powell Ward

Naomi Powell Ward, 81, passed away peacefully at Hospice Home with her family on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.  She was born October 4, 1939 to the late Willie Matchem Powell and Lois Gunter Powell and was the wife to the late Norman Chester Ward.

Naomi retired from Glen Raven Mills as a Supervisor for 44 years. She had many talents and loved to have a good time with her family, especially the grandkids. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Naomi is survived by her daughter, Melissa Velazquez (Victor); granddaughter, Gloria Mosher (Jessie); six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Stephen Hall. Visitation for family and friends will be 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM.
