Naomi Neese

Burlington Naomi Harrington Neese, 82, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Rockingham County to the late Jesse Monroe Harrington and the late Sally Terry Harrington. Naomi retired after 40 years with Byrd's Food Store. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and a member of the Quilting Club. Survivors include her daughters, Lorene Neese of Burlington and Joanne Griffith and husband, Jason of N. Myrtle Beach; grandchildren and spouses, Craig and Suzanne Turner, Lindsay and Derek Denard all of Burlington; great grandchildren, Addison Turner, Caroline Turner and Aaron Turner; sister, Nancy Wicker and husband, Max of Burlington; special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Howard Harrington. The funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, August 12, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Gene Hunsinger, with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 4 Sunday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the daughter, Lorene's home, 2824 Forestdale Drive, Burlington, NC 27215.
