Naomi Brown

The family of Naomi McCulloch Brown, 94, of 4519 Calm Lake Road, sadly announces the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother on Thursday, April 2, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Lowe Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Denny Wall. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Low's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hwy. 61, Liberty, NC where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Vastine Brown in 1976, and her parents John Thomas and Camelia Cates McCulloch; brothers, Johnny and James McCulloch; sisters, Emma Blalock, Ruth Cates, Hattie McCulloch, and Lessie Shoffner; and grandson Terry Reid. Mrs. Brown is survived by four daughters and their families: Merle Reid and her son, Kenny Rector; Georgie and Vance Isley and their children, Brenda Holt, V.M. Isley, and Janet Westmoreland; Faye and Garl Wall and their children, Hal Dean Wall, Rev. Denny Wall, Garlene Crawford, and Robin Tate; and Nancy Phipps and her children John Harden Phipps, Jr., Ellen Robinson, and Amanda Levens; as well as 27 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren.
