Nanthalyn Wall

Mrs. Nanthalyn "Nan" Shepherd Wall, of Burlington, NC, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
Born in Athens, GA, Mrs. Wall was a daughter of the late Amos and Ruth Matkins Shepherd. She was a homemaker, a former school teacher, piano teacher and Sunday School teacher. For thirty-nine years she was a church pianist. She also played for area weddings and funerals.
She was a former employee of Gibsonville Insurance Co., and she was formerly organist at Bartlett Funeral Home.
Survivors include son, Samuel Leigh Wall I; daughter, Sherri Wall McMillen; daughter, Sonya Wall Carrell and husband Bruce; grandson, Samuel Leigh Wall II and wife Kristen; granddaughter, Emrick Elizabeth McMillen; granddaughters, Catherine Carrell Roberts and husband Jason, Laura Carrell Rollins and husband Zane; brother, Frank Shepherd and wife Gay; sisters, Gwen Stephens, Carol McGhee and husband Gerald and Brenda Murray.
Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Samuel Wall, parents, and infant daughter and infant son.
The family will receive friends 12:00 -12:45 PM, Friday, December 7, at Lowe Funeral Home, Burlington, NC, followed by the funeral at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Lowe Funeral Home. Burial will be at Alamance Memorial Park.
