Nancy White

Mrs. Nancy Wright White, age 76, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born in Chatham County, she was the daughter of the late William Martin Wright and the late Deree Penninger Wright and was married for over 54 years to Bobby Lynn White, who survives. She retired from Duke Energy with over 20 years of service. Nancy was a member of Siler City United Methodist Church, the University of North Carolina Rams Club and met regularly with a group of Duke Energy retirees. Mrs. White is survived by her husband of the home; her daughter, Betty Brooks and her husband, Reid, of Gibsonville; her son, Michael White and his wife, Carmen, of Whitsett; three grandchildren, McKenna White, Cassidy White and Braxton Brooks; and a sister, Betty Lou Owens of Fuquay-Varina. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Wright. The family will conduct a private graveside service at a later date.
