Nancy Shields

Burlington-Nancy Ailene Shileds, age 70 passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Liberty Commons. She was a native of Chatham County and the daughter of the late Henry Lynn and Wreatha Muse Shields. Nancy Ailene was employed for many years with Burlington Industries, Pioneer Plant and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Johnny Lynn Shields and his wife, Robin of Staley, NC and 2 grandchildren, Trenton Shields of Burlington and Autumn Shields of Leasburg; four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Hicks of Staley. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Shields. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Liberty Commons and Liberty Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Nancy Ailene during her illness. The family will receive friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Robin Shields in Staley from 2-4 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2015.
