Nancy Metcalf Parrish, 83, passed away Sunday,August 18, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Clar and Hazel Murray Metcalf. She

was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church, a very active member of ESA Women’s Sorority for 51

years where she served numerous offices both local and state. She also earned the Girl Scouts Gold Award

and was retired from Interior Enterprises in Greensboro.

Survivors include her children, Nancy Thomas Moss and husband Mike of Burlington, Fred D.Thomas of

the home and Jan T. Morgan of Thomasville; grandchildren Brian Clapp and wife Lisa, Brad Clapp and

Chelsie Moss and husband Aaron. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tracy Thomas;

siblings, Janet Holtz and Colin Metcalf.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 22, 2919 in the Lowe Funeral Home

Chapel with Rev. Jim Mitchell officiating.  The family will receive friends following the funeral

service.

At other times the family will be at the home of Nancy and Mike Moss, 309 Boone Rd., Burlington.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital; 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678.
