Nancy Greeson

Whitsett - Nancy Coleman Greeson, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Blumenthal Health and Rehab in Greensboro. She was born January 2, 1952 to Clyde Dennis and Opal Mae Waller Coleman and was the wife of 39 years to the late Howard Eugene Greeson.
Nancy attended North Greensboro Church of God.She worked at John H. Harland Check Printers for over 20 years before early retirement and then went on to work for James M. Pleasants Co. for another 22 years. Nancy loved crafts and painting and was known for her creativity. She enjoyed vacationing at the beach and spending time with her family. Terri, her only child, was never too old to sit in her lap and be held by her mother. The two always shared a special bond. Nancy would often spend time with her grandson, Austin, taking him on trips and to the movies. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.
Survivors include her daughter, Terri Cook and husband Wes; grandsons, Austin Kestner and Wesley Cook, Jr; parents, Clyde and Opal Coleman; brother, Rodney Coleman and wife Ellen; niece, Candy Summerlin; great nephew, Christian Summerlin; cousin (like a sister), Kathy Brooks and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Greeson.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Mt. Hope UCC by Rev. Lynne Hinton, Rev. Kristen Gerner Vaughn, Dr. Darrell Waller and Dr. Bill Coble with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at her home.
A special thanks goes out to her sister-in-law Ellen and her cousin Kathy for their love and care they showed during Nancy's battle with cancer.
