Nancy Brumley

Nancy Holland Brumley, 90, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Brookdale in Greensboro, surrounded by her loving family.  A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Grace Smith Holland and was married for over 68 years to James Edward Brumley, Sr., who survives.

Nancy ran Kut & Kurl Hair Salon in East Burlington for many years before retiring.  She also worked part time later in life at Pip Triad in Burlington.  She was a long-time member of People’s Memorial Christian Church where she enjoyed attending the Light Bearers Sunday School class.  She was also a member of the Rose Chapter of the Eastern Star.  She loved taking short trips to Georgia to spend time with family as well as trips to the beach.  She had such a loving and giving spirit, allowing her the ability to touch many lives throughout the years.  She will be missed dearly by those who knew her and loved her.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, LuAnn Isley and husband, Don; son, Jimmy Brumley and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Megan Church and husband, David, Jimbo Brumley and wife, Kelsey and Keith Isley; great granddaughter; Sadie Grace Church and a brother, Roger Holland.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Lee Earles and Jeanette Graham and a brother, Buddy Holland.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 10:30AM in the chapel at Lowe Funeral Home by Rev. Gary Williams with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
