Nana Drye

Burlington, NC Nana Carder Drye, age 90 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2012 at White Oak Manor. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on November 4, 1921 to the late Allison Elijah Carder and Ida Pearl Murr Carder. Nana was wife of the late John Marshall Drye. Nana retired from Macfield Textiles and was a former member of City Lake Baptist Church. She was also very active in Topps for many years. She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Marie M. Scoggins and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Georgia Moody, Barbara Moore, Frances Bilka, Jane Roberts, Mary Oliver and Kathrine Gouge and; brothers, Jerry Carder and Herbert Carder Marie would like to thank the nurses and staff of White Oak Manor and a special thanks to Greta Dabbs, Carolyn Lambert, Libby Brown and Amber Baldwin. A special thank you to my immediate family for their compassion and support for me over the course of Nana's declining health. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm at McCarty Cemetery located in Telford, Tennessee.
