Mozel Foster

Burlington Mrs. Mozel Smith Foster, age 92, formerly of Long St. passed away Monday February 19, 2007 at Alamance Health Care. A native of Alamance County, she was wife of the late Eldred Calvin Foster and daughter of the late Don M. and Bessie Isley Smith. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and had been employed by Griffin Hosiery, Kayser Roth and Tower Hosiery. She was well known for her cooking and for her love of her family. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Foster of Burlington; son, Don Foster and wife Dale of Burlington; 3 grandchildren, Selena Dunn of Burlington, Dean Foster of Frankfort, KY and Sean Foster of Graham; 3 great grandchildren, Meghan Norris, Andrew Foster and Juliana Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Ethel Cole, Helen Rudd and Hazel Hawn and brothers, Kirk Smith, John Smith and Clayton Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday February 21, 2007 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church by Rev. Neal Salter. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Foster will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Tuesday and a other times at the home of her son Don Foster, 1980 Deep Creek Church Rd., Burlington.
