Mrs. Minnie Wade Jones, age 92, of 2527 Basin Creek Rd. passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Henry Davis Jones, Sr. and William Jones and daughter of the late John Elby and Emma Katherine Wilson Wade. She was a lifelong homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her sons; Clinton Jones of the home; Joe Jones and wife Eloise of Burlington, Henry Jones and wife Linda of Burlington; daughters Lou J. Sharpe of Greensboro, Peggy Satterfield Ward and husband Bill of McLeansville; grandchildren; Anthony Jones, Tracy Smith, Derek Sharpe, Kana House, Josh Jones, Amy Wilson, Heather Cox, Katie Jo Jones and Billy R. Ward, Jr.; great grandchildren; Morgan and Maddie Jones, Abby Jones, Jayden House, Ethan and Emma Cox, Andrew, Johnathan and Maribeth Ward. She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; sons; David Franklin Jones and Melvin Cecil Jones; grandson, Jamie Jones and a host of siblings. She is also survived by very special friends, Betty Bailey, June Young, Rachel Eakes, Rena Joyce, Adell Thomas and her loving dog Rambo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Hobbs, Rev. Jonathan Graves, Rev. Frank Jones and Rev. Frank Gribble. Interment will follow in Springfield Friends Church Cemetery in High Point. Mrs. Jones will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until being taken to New Hope Baptist Church where the family will receive friend from 6-8pm. Tuesday.
