Milton Lanphear, Jr.

Milton "Milt" Lanphear, Jr., 83, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Watkins Glen, NY and was the son of the late Milton Lanphear, Sr. and the late Helen Personius Lanphear. He was married for 61 years to Janet Willis Lanphear who survives. He was a General Contractor for 52 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Elon for over 30 years and a U.S. Air Force veteran with 10 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Willis Lanphear; son, David (Marie) Lanphear; grandchildren, Marissa Olson, McKenzie Lanphear, Morgun Gaddy, Nikki Bryant; brother, Robert Lanphear; brother-in-law, Norman Willis and son-in-law, Steven Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lori Lanphear Olson and brother, James Lanphear.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Elon by Dr. Mason Smith and Dr. David Durham with interment to follow at Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
