Millie Durham

Mrs. Millie Sue Terrell Durham, age 70, of 5585 NC Hwy 87 N., died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at her home after several months of failing health. Born in Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late James William Terrell and the late Ara Mildred Smith Terrell and was married for over 52 years to James Harrison Durham, who survives. She retired from Fuller Specialty Corporation after many years of service and was a longtime member of Altamahaw Baptist Church. Millie is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Pamela Durham George and her husband, Mike, and Tina Durham Rethaford, all of Elon; James Timothy Durham and his wife, Karen, of Elon; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Marie York of Gibsonville; and a brother, William "Billy" Terrell of Elon. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Steven Tucker. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
