Mildred Ball Waldron, known to all affectionately as "Millie," passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a short illness. A native of Salem, VA she was born June 3, 1941 to the late Clarence (Curly) and Mildred Bain Ball. She graduated from Andrew Lewis High School and started working at General Electric where she met the love of her life, and best friend, Odell Terry Waldron Jr. He took one look at her and said, "That is the woman I am going to marry," and he did just that for fifty-seven years.
Millie was known for her selfless and loving nature. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, and often traveled to the beach or the mountains to fish and spend time with her soulmate, Terry. She loved making picture collages of her family and was known as Mama by her two loving children, and Gran to her five grandchildren. Millie's grand children were her heart and joy. Her grand babies as she called them were the people that she loved the most. Time spent at Gran's House was very special for her grand babies.
Millie was one of the most selfless woman you'd ever met, she adored cooking for her family and was known for her famous mac and cheese. She could cross-stitch anything and loved planting flowers and making people feel loved and special in her home.
Loved ones that will miss Mille until they meet again are her husband, Terry; son, Rick (Sharon) Waldron; daughter, Linda (Russell) Dale; grandchildren, Matthew Dale, Sydnie Dale, Jacob Dale, Noah Waldron, Jordan Waldron; a sister, Judy (Rev. Dale) Ashley and her brother David Ball. In keeping with her wishes there was a private service for Millie Tuesday at Alamance Memorial Park.
If wished, memorial donations can be sent to one of Millie's favorite health organizations: UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (https://give.unc.edu/donate?p=LCGO ).
