Mildred Shoe

Mildred McMillan Shoe, 84, passed away Tuesday January 2nd at Ashton Place Center following several years of failing health. She was born May 16, 1933 in Martinsville, VA to the late Samuel C. and Lillian Wright McMillan and was married to the late Clyde Herbert Shoe. Mildred had attended Glen Raven Baptist Church when she was able before her illness. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her little dog.
She is survived by her children, Bruce Shoe, Gail Smith, Donna Doyle; grandchildren, Michelle Reed, Mike Smith, Robin Bowens, Ashley Curtis, Rusty Doyle, Brittany Solomon, Buddy Doyle, Bonner Shoe; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and twelve brothers and sisters.
There will be a gathering of friends and family Saturday, January 6th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of her granddaughter Michelle Reed.
