Mildred Johnson

Mildred Hawkins Johnson, 79, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Edgewood Place. Mrs. Johnson was born January 27, 1929 in Bristol, Virginia to the late Lewis and Martha Hawkins. She was the wife of the late Harry Donald Johnson, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include a daughter, Penny Perkins and her fianc Alan Sawyer of Liberty; three sons, Terry Setliff and his wife Shirley of Thomasville, Mike Setliff and wife Joan of Trinity, and Steve Setliff and his wife Robin of Winston-Salem; a step-daughter, Shirley Smith of Greenville, SC; two step-sons, Charles Johnson and his wife Jenny of Greensboro, and Butch Johnson and his wife Susan of Greensboro; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hawkins. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Emily Viverette.
