Mildred Hester

Mildred Rainey Hester, 87, died on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Springview Assisted Living. She was born in Caswell County to the late Edward Virgil and Lessie Davis Rainey and was married to the late B.C. Hester, Jr. She worked in textiles at Burlington Industries, J. Spencer Love and retiring at Kayser-Roth Hosiery. Mildred was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, Ben (Sherry) Hester of Burlington, daughter, Faye (Marvin) Boswell of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Hester of Hillsborough, Josh (Madison) Hester of Kernersville, Jonathan and Lexie Hester; great grandchildren, Dylan Hester, and Emerson Hester who is due in March; and a brother, Gene (Dorothy) Rainey of Southern Pines. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a son, Steve Hester. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Rosser and Rev. Dr. Ben Williams with interment to follow at Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Mrs. Hesters caregivers, Sarah Rainey and Louise Rainey, and to the nurses and staff at Springview and Hospice.
