Mrs. Mildred Jackson Bryant, 89, of 311 Climax St., died peacefully in her sleep on September 15, 2005 at her home after several years of failing health. A native of Waynesville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Jackson and the late Martha Adams Jackson and was married to the late James Patrick Bryant, who died in 1972. She was a homemaker and was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church. Mrs. Bryant is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn B. Moore and her husband, Billy, of Burlington; three sons, Kenneth Bryant, Jerry Bryant and his wife, Sandra, all of Burlington, and Gerald Bryant of the home; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and an aunt, Mrs. Evelyn Nance of Mayodan, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Diane Dodson; and a sister, Thelma Baker. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by her grandson, Dr. Keith Moore and Rev. Eugene Webb. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.
