Mickey Ruiz Vivar

Mickey Jason Ruiz Vivar, 21, died suddenly on Saturday, November 21, 2020 in an automobile accident.  He was born on February 13, 1999 in Alamance County to Heliodoro “Helio” Alfredo Ruiz Torres and Eufemia “Delia” Eudelia Vivar Alvarez.

Mickey graduated from Williams High School in 2017 where he played soccer, a member of the orchestra and enjoyed playing the violin.  After graduation he joined the US Marines and was currently stationed in Quantico, VA.

Survivors other than his parents, Helio Ruiz Torres and Delia Vivar Alvarez, includes his brother, Michael Richard Ruiz Vivar; a sister, Kaitlyn Belen Ruiz Vivar; his girlfriend, Maria Lizet Rea Hernandez; paternal grandparents, Cirilo Ruiz Morales and Lucia Torres Cortez; and maternal grandparents, Adolfo Vivar Morales and Lucia Alvarez.

The funeral mass will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Vincent Rubino, OFM Conv., with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park with full military honors.  The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 10:45am Wednesday prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.  You may come by Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 8am to 4pm to pay your respects to Mickey.
