Michael Stines

Michael Leon Stines, 43, of Burlington Ave. died on Friday, May 8, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Chicago and was the son of Al and Betty Burton Stines who survive. He was employed by International Textile Group, formerly Cone Mills, in Greensboro and was a U.S. Navy veteran where he participated in the Invasion of Grenada and also saw action in Beirut. Michael loved to play the guitar and enjoyed doing art work like drawings and sketches. He is survived by his parents of the home, sister, Amy Guerra of Troy, OH; brothers, Frank Jan Stines of Thomasville, Jeff Stines of Murrieta, CA and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Olin Tatum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
