Michael Loy

Michael Wayne "Mike" Loy, age 51, of Graham, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Duke University Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born in Alamance County, he was the son of the late Forrest Dalton Loy and Mrs. Joyce Mangum Loy, who survives. Mike graduated from Eastern Guilford High School before attending N.C. State University and obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was the owner and operator of Treat-Rite Water Services in Chapel Hill and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends Mr. Loy is survived by his two sons, Kristofer Loy and Nicolas Loy both of Graham; his mother of Gibsonville; two sisters, Donna Loy of Gibsonville and Pamela Alan Daher of Salisbury; a brother, Gregory Theresa Loy of Graham; special friend, Karen Way of Graham; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Kenneth Jackson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:45 Sunday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his mother, 1261 Springwood Church Rd., Gibsonville.
