Michael Howell

The world lost one of its sweetest, most gentle souls on June 10, 2018 with the sudden passing of
Michael Lynn Howell, 57, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mike was a strong man who exuded
kindness and found great joy in making the people around him happy.
He was a devoted son, brother and uncle, but first and foremost, Mike was an infinitely dedicated and
loving father to his son, Daniel. Anyone who met Mike knew how proud he was of "his boy".
He was born March 6, 1961 in Alamance County to the late Loretta G. Howell and Wayne Maynard
Howell who survives. Mike was a member of The Lamb's Chapel. He enjoyed music and listening to
the praise and worship band at his church. You could always find him in the same seat every Sunday
morning waiting for the band to start warming up. He also enjoyed fishing… even if all he caught was a
suntan! His other passions included finding great deals at yard sales and restoring furniture. He
enjoyed worshipping the Lord and spending time with his son any chance he could get. Mike worked
for GKN Driveline where he could always be seen hurrying to his next stop in the plant.
Mike loved to laugh and make everyone around him laugh with him.
He is survived by his son Daniel Howell and fiancé Claudia Rachel Hahle; father, Wayne Maynard
Howell; brother, Johnny Wayne Howell and fiancé Donna Gates; nieces, Samantha Murdock Haynes
and husband Matthew; Darci Duncan and husband Zack, Loretta "Nicki" Howell and numerous cousins
He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta G. Howell and his sister, Sharon H. Murdock.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, June 14th at Lowe Funeral Home &
Crematory, Inc.
There will be a service to celebrate his life 3:00 PM Saturday, June 23, 2018 at The Lamb's Chapel Burlington Campus.
