Michael Dabbs

BURLINGTON- Mr. Michael Ira Dabbs, 52, of 2514 Elvira Trail passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Baldwin Farm's. Michael was born April 18, 1956 in Alamance County to the late Carson Ira Dabbs and Amanda Faye Dabbs who survives. Mr. Dabbs worked for Baldwin Farm's, was of the Baptist faith, and he served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force and in the Army National Guard. Survivors include his mother, Amanda Faye Dabbs of Burlington; wife of 32 years, Jane L. Dabbs of the home; a daughter, Amanda Jane Cook and her husband Kevin of Burlington; a son, Michael John Dabbs and his wife Stephanie of Mebane; three grandchildren, Briana Nicole Cook, Kailyn Grace Cook, and Hailey Lynn Dabbs; and a brother, Mark Lamont Dabbs and his wife Bonny of Burlington. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Carson Ira Dabbs who passed away May 1, 2007. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with Capt. Jack Borders officiating. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
