Michael Carter

Michael Eugene Carter, 67, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after 3 years of failing health. He was born in Alamance County to the late Albert Sidney Carter, Jr. and Cleo Mansfield Carter. Michael was a former employee with Associated Plumbing Company and had learned this trade working with his father at Carter's Plumbing in Virginia. He was a member of Stafford Baptist Church in Virginia and a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his daughter and son-in law: Shayna and Robert Walker; sons, Trae Carter and friend, Patsy Hall, Michael Dodson and Kelly Dodson; 8 grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Bill Mitchell, Mary and Mark Barbour, Deborah Carter, June and Peter Cornwell; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tommy Carter. The funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
