Melvin Lee Hutchens

Melvin Lee Hutchens, 75, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his home with his wife Brenda Clapp Hutchens by his side.  He was born on March 20, 1946 to the late Eugene and Vivian Hutchens.

Melvin retired from County Ford as an Automotive Body Specialist. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family.

Survivors other than his wife, Brenda Clapp Hutchens include his sons, Jeff Hutchens and girlfriend, Yvonne Labenne and Neil Hutchens; brothers, Wayne Hutchens (Jewel) of Gibsonville and Eldee Hutchens (Dora) of Whitsett; sisters, Darlene Rhodes of Greensboro and Christine Stremmell (Scott) of Liberty. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evon Craig.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Darrell Massey. Melvin will be available for viewing from 2-5pm on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
