Maxie Eugene "Max" "Mac" Price

Maxie Eugene “Max” “Mac” Price, 74, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Hospice Home.  He was born in Union, SC to the late Tallie Brooks Price and Norma Leo Wrenn Price. 

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he built bridges with the Army Corps of Engineers.  Max was a member of CrossWay Church.  He was a member of the NRA and loved hunting.  He enjoyed gardening, nature and animals.  He was gracious, generous and was known for being a good friend and neighbor to everyone he met.

He is survived by his siblings, Perry David Price (Nancey), Juanita P. Hammack (George), Judy P. Alexander (David); several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, George Smith.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Darrell Gaines with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
