Maxcy Crosby "Max" Weaver, Jr., 76, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his home after several months of declining health. He was born on February 18, 1940 in Durham County to the late Maxcy Crosby "Max" Weaver, Sr. and Dorothy Rivers Swain Weaver; and was the husband to Jerry Kirby Weaver of 50 years who survives.
Max was the owner and operator of Alamance Inspection Service, Inc. for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and making fly fishing lures; he was a Mason of Lodge #408, a Knights Templar, a Shriner and a US Army veteran.
Survivors other than his wife, include his daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Shane Lloyd, Christy and Bryson Thaxton; 8 grandchildren and 1great grandson; sister, Janet Weaver; brothers, David Weaver and Jim Weaver; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Gregory Kirby and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy Weaver.
The memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Old Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.
