Maurine Isley Michaels Brown, 91, of 1127 Durham St. passed away Thursday August 25, 2005 at Alamance Health Care. She was the wife of the late Jasper Michaels and the late Russell Brown. She was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Media Ward Isley. Maurine was a native of Caswell County, retired from Burlington Industires and a member of Shallow Ford United Church of Christ. Survivors include her son Fred Michaels and his wife Evelyn of Burlington, step daughters Alyse Tickle, Louise Davis, sisters: Mildred Atwater of Yanceyville, Polly Boland of Burlington, a brother Max Isley of Durham, two grandchildren: Tracey Michaels and Kyle Michaels and a great grandchild Devin Tyler Michaels. She was preceded in death by step daughters: Lamonna Matkins, Winifred Matkins, step sons: R.G. Brown, Jr., Fred Brown, a sister Helen Isley and a brother Russell Isley. There will be a graveside service 4:00 PM Today at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her son Fred Michaels, 1934-B Tucker St. A special thank you to the staff of Alamance Health Care for all the wonderful care given to Mrs. Brown.
