Mattie Eten

Burlington - Mattie Bruner Eten 74, of 1605 Morningside Dr. went home to be with the Lord, Thursday morning at White Oak Manor after a brief illness. She was born in Pilot Mountain, daughter of the late Roy Lester Bruner and the late Ida May Wood Bruner and was married to the late Max Burnett Eten. Mattie was a former employee of Glen Raven Mills and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Eten of Hickory and Candace Crump of Charlotte; grandchildren, Maggie Crump and Ty Crump, both of Charlotte; sister, Betty Bruner of Winston-Salem and brothers, Bobby, Charlie and Harold Bruner, all of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son, Russell William Eten. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
