Mary Kate Galyean

Burlington-Mary Kate “Kay” Harris Gaylean, 73 passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at ARMC. She was the wife of the late Larry Hobart Galyean and the daughter of the late Edgar David Harris, Sr. and Kathleen Willoughby Harris.

Mary Kate retired from GE in Mebane after over 30 years of service. She was later employed with Direct Transport in Greensboro for 13 years. She is survived by her son, Robbie Dove and wife, Stormy of Burlington; grandson, Conner Dove and granddaughter, Greyson Agner; brothers, Edgar David Harris, Jr. of Graham and Wayne Harris and wife, Sissy of Ramseur. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; brothers, Tommy and David Harris and an infant sister, Barbara Harris.

The family will have a gathering for family and friends from 5:30-7:30pm on Thursday at the home of her son, Robbie Dove located at 3032 Weston Court in Burlington.
