Mary Alice Morris

BURLINGTON- Mary Alice Potter Morris, 91 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Johnston county and was the daughter of the late Willis and Vallie Ballard Potter. She was the wife of the late Jesse Elma Morris.

Alice retired after 21 years with Monark Hosiery. She was a member of Shallowford Christian Church. She enjoyed dancing and was a proud member of the Shallowford Squares. She had sweet smile for everyone she met and lived out her faith in every area of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita Morris Russell and husband, Andy of Winston Salem and her son, Dwight Morris of Burlington; grandchildren, Chris Russell and Sara Connerton; sister, Eunice Strickland of Richmond, Virginia.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Steve Regan and Rev. Jim Owen.  Alice will be available for viewing from 1:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
