Mary Renegar

Elon – Mary Elizabeth Haugh Renegar, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Hospice Home.  She was born in West Palm Beach, FL on December 9, 1927 to the late Water and Elizabeth Kolhepp Haugh and was the wife of 66 years to Charles Roland Renegar of the home.

Mary worked in administration for the US Air Force for many years and was a member of First Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time at the beach.

Survivors include her husband Charles; son, Michael Renegar and wife Catherine O’Donnell of Burlington; daughter, Cynthia Melson and husband Darren of Fort Mills, SC; grandsons, Charles Patrick Renegar and wife Lauren, James Dallas Renegar and wife Lori, Charles Melson and Phillip Melson and great grandchildren, Benjamin, Maxwell, Matthew, Madelyn and Claire Renegar.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Eric Renegar.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00AM on Monday, March 25, 2019 at First ARP Church by Rev. Bryan Crotts. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First ARP Church, 2250 Saddle Club Rd, Burlington, NC 27215.
