Mary Reinheimer

Mary Louise Hill Reinheimer, 78, went home to the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center, with her children at her side. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 54 years, Harry J. Reinheimer. They would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on July 19. Mary Lou was a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Special Education. She was a school teacher in Syracuse, NY before getting married and becoming an exceptional mother of 8 children. She was very active teaching religious education and she loved spending time with her family & friends, laughing & celebrating life. We will remember her amazing determination, beautiful optimism and radiant smile. Mary Lou was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Mary Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include daughters, Margaret Mary Baffa and husband Richard of Cambridge, England, Ann Elizabeth Butler and husband Scott of Burlington; sons, Thomas Jude Reinheimer of Germantown, Md., Edward Anthony Reinheimer of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Stephen Francis Reinheimer of Elon and Susan Sidden Reinheimer of Elon, Richard Rexford Reinheimer and wife Joan of Stevensville, Md., Henry James Reinheimer of Winchester, Va. and Paul Joseph Reinheimer and wife Allison of Reston, Va.; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Joan Marie Dirac of Hyannis, Mass. She also leaves behind her beloved dog ""BB"". She was preceded in death by her parents, Rexford Hugh Hill and Louise Aiken Hill; and her daughter-in-law, Kim Reinheimer. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 AM Monday , August 11, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 10:15 -10:45 before the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 710 Koury Drive, Burlington, NC 27215.
