Mary Lee Latta Ingold

Mary Lee was devoted to her family and faith community. She attended Lamb’s Chapel and grew up at Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for the “Sunbeams”. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Her children said she lived out Proverbs 31 and taught them in the ways of the Lord. Mary Lee’s faith, honesty and humility were hallmark’s of her life. She especially loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Willets and husband, Gene of Burlington and her son, Daryl Ingold and wife, Kim of Burlington; grandchildren, Lauren Michelle Willets of Raleigh and Matthew Clinton Willets of Burbank, California; sister-in-law, Linda Latta of Burlington; numerous nieces and nephews and her close friends, Barbara Buchanan and Doris Simpson; her care givers from “Always Best Care” Bebe Harrison, Patricia Wilson, Janette Phelps, Judy Holt and Hailey Forbes. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Jim and Harriett Clay Newby Latta; sister, Mildred Yancey and her brothers, CD and Herndon Latta.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Andy Clapp. The burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
