Mary Jordan

Mary Elizabeth Hogue Jordan, 79, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007 at her home. She was the wife of the late Paul Leroy Jordan, Sr. and the daughter of the late Harry Clay and Susie Peeler Hogue. Mary retired from Alamance Regional Medical Center after many years of service as a LPN, and was an member of Mebane St. Church of Christ where she began the Care Bear ministry, making small calico bears to comfort children who visited the emergency room at local hospitals. Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca Strasser and her husband Fred of Wynne, AR, Amy Vaughn and her husband Mike of Cookeville, TN, sons, Jeffrey Jordan and his wife Crystal of Graham and Paul L. Jordan, Jr. of Graham, grandchildren, Paul L. Jordan III, Patrick Jordan, Jonathan Strasser, Matthew Strasser, Christopher Strasser, Timothy Strasser and Jennifer Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister Mable Polasek, brothers, Gilbert Hogue, Charles Hogue, Orlan Hogue, Daniel Hogue, Walker Hogue and Jasper William Hogue. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Mebane St. Church of Christ by Mr. Jerry Weldon, Mr. Al Bergeron. Interment will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
