Mary Ingle

Mrs. Mary Lou McPherson Ingle, age 89, of Mebane, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Hospice Home after several years of declining health. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Roy McPherson and the late Effie Vincent McPherson and was married to the late Wade Hampton John Ingle, who passed in 2012. Mary Lou graduated from Alexander Wilson High School and Burlington Business College. She worked for various hosiery mills before being employed and retiring with the Alamance County School System. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Mebane. Mrs. Ingle is survived by her three nieces, Myra Ann Loftis and husband, Richard, Donna Stanton and husband, Dave, and Kathy May; a nephew, Joseph McPherson and wife, Aileen. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers, Thomas, Elmer, Arthur and Flemming McPherson. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Norman Harris. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
